David Chapman, MD, ChB
I joined the Department of Family Practice at Langley Memorial Hospital in 1993, the same year that I opened my office in Langley. Along with my colleagues at the Langley Maternity Clinic, I enjoy caring for people of all ages. My favourite part of work is helping to bring babies into the world. It is a privilege for me to be part of your pregnancy and journey into parenthood.
I graduated from the University of Cape Town and came to Canada from South Africa in the 1990s. After spending a few years working on the Prairies, my wife and I moved to the Fraser Valley, where we raised two sons. I am on the Editorial Board of the B.C. Medical Journal, and I am a clinical instructor in the Department of Family Practice of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation since 2009.
When I’m not working or in a meeting, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as exercising and reading.
